Application Problems One Unknown 1) The perimeter of a rectangle is 192 inches.  If the length is 72 inches, what is the width? 2) John drove from Norco to Las Vegas.  The drive from Norco to Las Vegas is about 240 miles.  If it took John 4 hours,  what was his average speed? 3) At LA Fitness there is a one-time membership fee of $300 plus dues of $40 per month.  If Carlos has spent a total of $700  to LA Fitness, how long has he been a member? Two Unknown 4) Tim wants to fence in a rectangular area of his backyard using 62 feet of fencing.  If he wants the length to be twice as  long as it is wide, what will the dimensions of the area be?
