CRT – (cathode ray tube) A display technology that uses a large vacuum tube, similar to that used in television sets. Dual Core Processor – is faster than one with a single core. Hyper-Threading Technology – refers to circuitry that enables a single processor to simulate two processors. Linux Platform – A server operating system that is a derivative of UNIX and available as freeware. Mac Platform – A personal computer designed and manufactured by Apple Computers. Magnetic Storage – The recording of data onto disks or tape by magnetizing particles of an oxide-based surface coating.
