Evaluate the company objectives for General Motors, The Home Depot, YUM! Brands, and Avon. Discuss whether or not the objectives are measurable and achievable. General Motors objective is to be leader in the automotive industry by reducing the percentage of conventional ICE through development of hybrid ICE’s. The production of hybrid vehicle is reducing the dependency on gasoline. GM objective is to become the leader in hybrid development. They currently offer a variety of vehicles making the objective achievable and can be measured by the success of the six vehicles offered. Home Depot company objectives is guided by the values established by its founders, who built this organizational success with the commitments of “providing excellent customer service, taking care of people, having a strong entrepreneurial spirit, respect for all people, building strong relationships, doing the right thing, giving back to communities, and creating shareholder value.” Home depot has been able to achieve and measurable by the strong community presence.
