Review for Final Exam
December 14, 2011
The Final Exam will be held on Wednesday, December 21 from 8:00 to 11:00 AM in our regular
classroom.
The exam will cover everything we have covered this semester according to the
following outline.
The exam will be in 2 parts:
one with calculator and one without.
Bring
your calculator to the exam.
Know how to use it.
4.3 The Fundamental Theorem of Calculus.
Be able to state the Fundamental Theorem of Calculus, part 2
(page 315), be able to compute
simple definite integrals with the FTC part 2.
p. 318 #1929 odd.
4.2 The Definite Integral
Be able to define the definite integral of f(x) on [a,b]
(see class notes or page 296).
4.1 The area problem.
Understand the area problem. Be able to approximate areas with rectangles by hand.
p. 293 #4.
3.9 Antiderivatives.
Be able to compute antiderivatives – the most general antiderivative and specific antiderivatives.
p. 273 #111 odd, 21, 27, 33.
