For the Goodyear tire data from Fig. 2.42 from the tire data handouts, develop Mathcad or Matlab functions force(N, ) and torque(N, ) that return the lateral force and aligning torque given any normal force N and slip angle . (Hint: use curve fits through an appropriate number of data points.) 2. Using the above functions, plot the left, right, and total lateral forces as the left to right weight distribution changes from 50/50 to 0/100 for slip angles of 1°, 2°, 6°. (Each plot should show all the data for one slip angle.) The weight to be distributed over the front wheels is 1800 lb. Perform the same for the aligning torques on left, right and total.
