Electronic Navigation Systems – Lab 6 For this lab we will be performing a time domain simulation of a code tracking delay lock loop. Time domain simulation of a GPS receiver code tracking loop using realistic sampling rates and predetection integration time is too computa- tionally intensive for this lab, so we will be using somewhat unrealistic sampling rates. Assume that the code chipping rate is 1 Hz, and the IF sampling period is T s = 0 . 205 sec. For the code, we will use the following m -sequence of length 7: (1 , 1 , 1 , - 1 , - 1 , 1 , - 1) The following Matlab commands can be used to generate samples of the code: code = [1 1 1 -1 -1 1 -1]; y = code(1 + modulus (floor (t), length(code))); where t is time in seconds, and the modulus function is given in the appendix.
