Office Hours: W Period 5-6 or by appointment (call or email) Content: The course will provide an introduction to statistical methods relevant to research in the health sciences. The course will cover data summarization and presentation, an introduction to probability, statistical inference using hypothesis testing and confidence intervals, and then methods. In particular, ANOVA, non-parametric methods, inference on discrete data, inference on survival data, and regression methods for continuous, binary, and survival data. Computing: PC SAS will be used for computing. Examples will be illustrated using this in class and hw problems will require its use.
