A particle of mass m is moving in a circle of radius R at a constant speed. If the period of the motion is T, what are the direction and magnitude of the force exerted on the particle? 2. A Ferris wheel of radius 10 m is rotating at a constant speed of 5 m/s. Find the force exerted on a 50-kg rider by the seat a) at the top of the motion, b) at the bottom and c) halfway between the top and bottom.
