Revised 11/02 COMPUTER and INFORMATION SCIENCE and ENGINEERING MINOR PROGRAM This program is designed for students who have an interest in computer and information science and engineering. The program was created to provide students with the academic background necessary to understand the application of computers to scientific and engineering problems, and to prepare students for possible graduate study in computer-related disciplines. Majors in Computer Engineering and Computer and Information Sciences are not eligible to receive this minor. To apply for the minor, the student must have a 2.5 GPA and complete the following courses with a grade of C or better: MAC 2312 Analytic Geometry and Calculus 2 (MAC 2311) CIS 3020 Introduction to Computer & Information Sciences (MAC 2311) To obtain the minor, the student must also complete the following courses with a grade of C or better: COT 3100 Applications of Discrete Structures (MAC 2311) CDA 3101 Introduction to Computer Organization (MAC 2311, CIS 3020)
