WHAT IS A “.FPX” FILE? It is an image format like .jpg or .GIF, but HUGE in memory, because it is a digitization of an entire microscopic slide which can be zoomed to high power. It was made famous by the University of Iowa’s rtual histopathology website for online viewing. virtual histopathology website for online viewing.
