Music 133 Fall 2010 Exam 1 Study Guide The exam will include three parts: 1. Multiple choice questions in response to audio examples 2. Multiple choice questions that include definitions, terminology, and basic concepts 3. Short answer questions that draw on material from the reading and lecture and asks you to use specific examples from readings and lectures to think critically about the primary concepts covered so far To study, you should: Read again the chapters and reading from outside the book indicated in the syllabus —or for the first time, if you’ve neglected to do so thus far; Compare the terminology lists at the end of the assigned chapters with your notes from lecture and the PowerPoint slides. The most important terms will be those that are in both the book and the slides; Look over the review questions at the end of each chapter, and compare with your lecture notes Listen again—or for the first time...—to the recordings that were presented in lecture as well as to the ones called out in the textbook and on compass.
