Curran Office: LSC A323 Tele: (940) 369-7697 Email: [email protected] General Information - This course is designed for Biology Majors needing a general background in vertebrate anatomy and to meet the needs of a variety of students preparing for graduate school or professional schools. Texts - Two texts are required for the course; a lecture text ( Comparative Anatomy of the Vertebrates 9 th ed. , Atlas and Dissection Guide for Comparative Anatomy 6 th ed. , S. Wischnitzer) Testing and Grades - All tests will be given on the dates detailed in the course syllabus. No tests will be allowed to be missed and made up without a written excuse or prior permission from the instructor (lecture or lab). Your grade will be calculated from a combination of lecture and laboratory. The laboratory is an integral part of the course and will count 50% of your final grade. The final exam will not be comprehensive, but will be simply another exam over material covered after Exam IV. Academic Misconduct - Academic dishonesty will not be tolerated. Any student caught cheating will receive a grade of zero and will be referred to the Dean of Students for disciplinary action. Disabilities
