Asparagus business in Peru.
Talking about the booming asparagus business in Peru, it brings so many benefits to the
country. For example, there are more jobs for their people, it helps to lower poverty, and helps to
grow their economy. However, it brings to the country a big problem which is the water supply.
After a long period of agricultural business, they now do not have enough clean water to use
daily. In order to look at different views of different groups of people, we will apply the theories
learned in class to talk about this issue.
First, I want to talk about Ethical egoism. This will help us to understand how people
think about the booming asparagus business in Peru. Ethical egoism is a theory that is about
people who will think for themselves before thinking about others. We can simply call it is
selfish because people will always think about their benefits first. An action that is presumed to
be true in the absence of another action may be more beneficial to the conduct of that action
(Burgess-Jackson, 2013, p. 26). When talking about growing asparagus, as a farmer in Peru,
