The concepts of race and ethnicity are important in the United States because we are a melting pot of many different “races” and ethnic groups and this diversity plays a factor in our everyday American lives. These concepts have had and still have an impact on food, clothing, education, sports, religion, and social classes in America. Unfortunately they have not all been good impacts on our society, but this is what makes us who we are as Americans we are able to grow and learn new things from all the varieties of people and cultures in our nation....
