WK_6_DQ_Phillips What actions do leaders need to take to drive and sustain organizational change? This was not an easy question to answer. The leaders actions will make the organizational change succeed or fail. It is important for leaders to know what actions they need to take to drive and sustain the organizational change. Before the leaders can drive or sustain the change they need to embrace it themselves. We understand that change can be scary and different, however it is necessary. “At that point managers must look within themselves and develop their own personal strategies. They must arrive at a firm conclusion about what kind of leadership role they intend to play” . What actions do leaders need to take to drive organizational change? Learning is at the heart of leading change. Once the leaders have complete knowledge of this change it is time to become the driving force. Leaders need to support the change with 100 percent dedication. Their followers can sense when their leader is not completely on board with the change. “In more concrete terms, managers at all levels can solidify their role as active supporters and drivers of change through a number of day – to – day leadership practices” .
