SHES 2300 – OPERATING SYSTEM Due Date: 4 th October 2005 Marks: 10% Programming Project Students are required to write some code to implement a specific component of a toy operating system which is based on Process Management concepts. You are NOT allowed to use any code from other projects that you might find over the internet. You can discuss ideas but the final outcome should be strictly your own work. You cannot share code or design with other friends. Operating system – Process Management Concepts There are a few concepts in Process Management such as Process control , Synchronization , Deadlock and Process Scheduling . So that students are required to choose only 1 of the given concepts. Project Requirements 1. Projects will be completed in teams. Therefore students will be required to work in group of 5. 2. Feel free to discuss projects with anyone, but you must not share code with anyone but your partner.
