Data-flow architectures: Spreadsheet software, Calendars, Inventory software Layered architectures: 9.3 Architectural styles that are not hierarchal would be implemented in a modular style Chapter 10 10.1 Component is like a building block a part of a program that does a specific part of the program. When applied correctly developers can create modular programs. Java, C++ and Python all have OOP capabilities 10.2 Traditional design use control components on top of the hierarchy to instruct all other processes in a program. OOP design does no need this because modules are stand alone and or can call other models to do other processes. Chapter 11 11.2 Shortcuts to must use features Hot keys to control interface Allow dynamic customization for advanced users 11.3 Less clutter on screen Simple and advance option views
