Henry Edwards and David E. Penney. Selected topics from chapters 1, 2, 3, 7 and 8 will be covered. Other topics will be covered as time permits. Help me help you learn...please read ahead. Homework: Homework will be regularly assigned and will be due in two class periods. Quizzes: Periodic quizzes may be given, usually on Thursdays. Labs: Periodically we will use Mathematica to explore various aspects of differential equations. Tests: There will be three tests and one comprehensive final exam. Missed Exams: Since I only give makeup tests when all of the known planets align (more likely now that Pluto is no longer considered a planet – it’s a dwarf planet), I am hard pressed to imagine that you’ll miss one of my tests.
