Unformatted text preview: A ED 590 – Advanced Methods of Teaching Major Class Project Purpose : The purpose of this project is to engage the class, as a team, in the experience of planning, developing, implementation and evaluation of a major event related to faculty in post-secondary education. Overview : This type of assignment allows you to work together as a team to achieve a common goal. Although a final product or process will be generated, the learning is in the process and delivery of project in question. To work with colleagues/clientele, communicate, serve on a team, secure plans, budget time/funds, receive permission, coordinate, follow-through, evaluate, etc. are all components of faculty’s daily routine. This project is an opportunity for you, as a team, to creatively bring to fruition a product/project/process through planning, conducting and evaluating in the context of a faculty member in higher education.
