Email: [email protected] Telephone: 578-4778 What This Course is About How do we sort through information to find what is best for our purposes? Libraries organize information so that useful information can be found and connected with the users' purposes. This course is a brief introduction to the library research process and to the world of information. Communications Use your LSU email account for emails to me. This syllabus, homework assignments, and class notes will be posted on the Moodle page: 2011 Fall LIS 1001. Grades Grades will be based on 5 homework assignments, on one research project, and on a final exam. Cumulative homework, the research project, and the final exam will each count one-third toward your final grade.
