The term agile in software is a set of values and principles written by 17 software developers. Agile manifesto has 4 values and 12 principles. Agile manifesto is an abstraction of iterative incremental development frameworks that existed before, these frameworks provide the guideline for implementation. Iteration timeline: Scrum: iteration duration is up to 1 calendar month XP: iteration duration is 1 to 3 weeks DSDM: iteration duration is 2 to 4 weeks scrum: 3 roles: product owner, scrum master, development team 5 events: 3 artifacts Scrum team size 11 maximum, product owner and scrum masters are individuals. Development team is 3 to 9 members staffed as per the development sill requirements Scrum team need to be structures as truly self-organized and cross functional teams to get the benefits
