EXECUTIVE SUMMARY CH. 16 2 Executive Summary Ch. 16 Decision making is about choosing one path of action to find a different way to deal with a issue at hand and the best way to deal with it. Decisions should not be evaluated sourly on the outcome but also on the process in which the decision was based. A problem is an issue that exists and does not have an outcome that one wants (David L. Goetsch). Making sure one has all the necessary information when solving a decision making problem is a big key in getting the way to solve the issue. The Decision making process is a set of logical activities that the decisions are basted on. First you must identify or anticipate the situation, second gather the facts, then consider alternatives. Once that has been done then choose the best alternative, implement and finally monitor and adjust your decision if necessary.
