Tarik Alafif Stress Management Professional development GCIS 603 Dr.Sassi. Due date: Apr 12, 2010. Before we know how to manage our stress, we need to define it and know its types and indicators. Stress is a feeling that is created when we react to particular events. It is the body's way of rising to a challenge and preparing to meet a tough situation with focus, strength, stamina, and heightened alertness. “According to [1], Stress is the mind and body reactions to a real or imagined threats, events or changes”. If human receives stressful events, psychological changes occur in their bodies naturally. Managing these stressful events is very important. A leader should be capable to manage all kinds and types of stress in order to be successful. The events, threats or changes that provoke stress are called stressors, and they cover a whole range of situations. Everything from outright physical danger to making a class presentation or taking a semester's worth of your toughest subject. However,
