ARCHEOLOGY (ARCH 201) INSTRUCTOR: Phillip Murry Office: Science 139F Phone: 254-968-9889 Email: [email protected] Office Hours: 8:15-9:00 A.M., Monday, Wednesday and Friday TEXTBOOK: Chris Scarre (Editor). The Human Past. Thames and Hudson, 2005 (ISBN 0-500- 28531-4) GRADES: Lecture Tests : 80% of total grade; consists of four tests Final Test : 20% of total grade. Makeup Tests : All makeup tests consist of two-question essays given on Monday, December 5 th 5:00 p.m. in Science Building Room 112. If you are not satisfied with a lecture test grade, you may replace this grade with an essay test over the same material. If you decide to take the essay test, the essay test grade will be the grade I count. Bonus Quizzes : There will be bonus quizzes that cover the reading assignment in the text for that day. The average of the bonus quizzes will count up to 10 bonus points that is added to your average. CELL PHONE AND COMPUTER USE: I do not allow cell phones (texting, etc.) or computer use in the classroom.
