Social Change- Social process whereby the values, attitudes, or institutions of society, such as education, family, religion, and industry become modified. Globalization- describes a process by which regional economies, societies, and cultures have become integrated through a globe-spanning network of communication and trade. Example would be Mardi Gras video Global corpocracy- business and government are based together. Transational corporations- Walmart, Starbucks, Disney. . HE IS GOING TO ASK WHICH ONE IS NOT A T* corporation… “The Power Elite”- political, economic, and military elites. He argues that even though everyone has different thoughts and issues on these three parts, the ones with power will always act together as one. The wealthy and strong will always have power. Power, Privilege, Prestige- American society is a highly stratified society. “Yet we maintain illusions of living in an egalitatirian society. Civil Region- idea that a civil society is our own religion. Income vs. Wealth- Wealth is the “monetary value of what someone owns, calculated by adding all of financial assets.” ( This is related to Power Elite- Derber). Income is just what you make
