What is the purpose of a political system? Governance : give order to society and make laws. Representation : provide representation for the voices of the people Peaceful resolution of societal disputes and dispensing of justice. What are the different forms of political systems?

It is the government of the people, by the people and for the people – amounts to majority rule within a defined legal framework. Hallmarks of a liberal democracy include political pluralism, equal representation, right to recourse to law, equality before law, provision of civil liberties and human rights and accountability to the people. Principle of separation of powers: executive, legislature and judiciary – allow for system of accountability

It is a federal form of government: powers divided between the federal and provincial governments. Components of the political system in Pakistan Legislature: The parliament composed of the national assembly and the Senate; and the 4 provincial assemblies.
