FEATURES OF BATS A bat’s wings are really just long, thin fingers with a piece of skin called membrane stretched between them Bats wings have no feathers. A bats body looks something like a mouse’s body and is covered with soft fur. A bat doesn’t even have a bird’s bill. It has a mouth with tiny sharp teeth in it. It has a nose and furry ears. Some people call a bat a flying mouse, although it really isnt.
