Any substance or mixture of substances intended for preventing , destroying , repelling or mitigating any pest. The term pesticide refers to all pest control substances, including insecticides , herbicides , and fungicides . A pesticide may be a chemical substance , biological agent (such as a virus or bacterium), antimicrobial , disinfectant or device used against any pest. BRIEF HISTORY Pesticides- since 2000BC in Greece. First known pesticide was Sulfur dusting.
