Background/ Summary: The Walt Disney Company saw nothing to loose when they decided to create an international theme park in Paris, Europe. The first theme park built by Walt Disney, in Anaheim, California, in 1955 was purely success. The park was named Disneyland and included all the Disney characters that you see in the movies and cartoons. All types of rides and merchandise where available for the guests. Because of the great success of the original Disneyland, they decided to build another in Florida. In the 1970’s that dream became a reality, with the same popularity as the first Disneyland was an instant success. By this time Disney wanted to go international, so they created a third Disneyland in Japan. In 1983 the Japanese enjoyed the cartoon like atmosphere of Disneyland in Tokyo. Now it was time for a second international theme park, this time in Europe. The Walt Disney Company only saw dollar signs when Paris was chosen
