There are two missing values because some of the rats died in the early part of the experiment. I also noticed that the cortex weights range from 579 mg (minimum) to 751 mg (maximum). 751 is 30% larger than 578 (Calculation 751-578/578) b/c) They took two rats from each litter because they want one in control and one in treatment. This is for comparison reasons treatment vs. control. They took one from each litter to defeat the PCF of genetics. Each pair is of the same genetic strain and you want to hold the genetic constant. d)
