A combination of Wal-Marts technological capabilities and their intangible resources, consisting of the people and the culture, makes it an enjoyable place to shop. Wal-Mart has perfected using information systems to make sure that their stock is always perfect for the customer. On top of that Wal-Mart has a culture in which their employees are always trying to exceed customer expectations. If a person is looking for a reason for Wal-Marts success all they have to do is look and they will see that it is clearly their core competencies, the best quality merchandise at unbeatable prices and having great customer service. These core competencies were created from the combination of great resources and capabilities and should keep Wal-Mart ahead of their competition for a long while....
