STUDY PLAN2Preparing for boards seems like a difficult task, due to the mass amount of information that is covered for the exam. An effective way to prepare for the exam is the use of a study plan. The material that will be studied for the exam should be spread out over a few days. Formulating a plan to include a time frame each day that topics will be reviewed, being organized and utilizing the study plan are essential for success on the exam. Based upon the predictor exam from NR603, the following study plan will be implemented. Learning Goal #1Learning Goal (Identified from Pre- Predictor exam)What do you want to accomplish? Learning Activities How are you going to accomplish your goal? Timeline When do you want to accomplish your goal? Reflection How will accomplishing your goal improve your certification preparation or make you a better nurse practitioner? Improve my knowledge of Hematology (46%) function and diseases.1.Complete hematology subject specific exams in the APEA myQbank. practicing until I consistently score at least 90%. 2.Review hematology in the Clinical Guidelines in PrimaryCare textbook. 3.Study hematology for 1 hour (of 2-hour study block) every Monday. 4.Identify patients on my preceptor’s schedule with hematology related problems. Create a plan and present to my preceptor prior to the scheduled visit. Lead the office visit and collaborate with the patient Each learning activity will be accomplished by week 5, ahead of thefirst Predictor exam, and will be reviewedas necessary through week 8 of this course. Learningactivity number 5 will be accomplishedby week 8.Identifying patients with a hematology condition will improve my assessment and diagnosis skills. This identification will also allow me to create and modify treatment plans and engage with the patient. Taking my knowledge into practice provides valuable insight and understanding of the disease,disease process and treatment plans in the area ofhematology. This increase in understanding will increase the communication with colleagues and recognize changes in my patients that I
