Be sure youve got the data analysis tool pack added in Under tools in the main tool bar at the top of the screen see if the option data analysis is available (it should be at the bottom of the list). If data analysis is not there do the following: 1. Under tools select add-ins 2. Click on the box for analysis toolpak 3. Click OK 4. Go back and check to see that data analysis is now an option under tools. B. Purpose of Todays lab In todays lab were going to learn how to get Excel to perform smoothing and prediction with time series data. C. Open the data for Todays Lab The data set for todays lab is titled cars data for time series lab, and is on our class webpage. Copy and paste the YEAR and PRIME columns into a new sheet and save it. We will only work with these two variables - the prime interest rate and time. You should have a time series of 64 data points. The variable prime rate is collected quarterly....
