22:05 3 primary components of breast:  1. adipose tissue, 2. Ducts, 3. …? There is a perceived need to alter one’s body. Reconstructive breast surgery. So  why? Why have we seen the rates go up? Especially for college-age women? Purpose of breast? For breastfeeding.  We use them as a component of body image.  Breast augmentation/ Breast reduction. Any change to the breast can pose a potential risk to breastfeeding.  Breast augmentation: there is a disruption of fibers, risk to breast feeding  Breast reduction: for different reasons. Discomfort, limited ability to participate in  activities. There are no medical benefits to breast augmentation. Why do we wear bras? To keep them.. perky? So who do we wear it for? Certainly  ourselves, but for OTHER people.  So why not sports bras for support only? Cause of the uni-boob. Breast self-exam: We think that early self breast exam is good for spotting potential problems.  Scientifically, it doesn’t really help. (this is early). Basically, the evidence base to support early breast self-exam to prevent cancer  early, is NOT true. Furthermore, they get more TESTING rather than TREATMENT (these ppl who do early  breast self exam). The idea that you’re preventing cancer by doing self breast exam has not been shown to  be true.  Knowing your body is important.
