FOGBY CARL SANDBURGThe fog comes on little cat feet. It sits looking over harbor and city on silent haunches and then moves on.
INFLUENCES FROM THE 20THCENTURY ON “FOG”Carl Sandburg published “Fog” in a collection of poems. The poem got influenced by Japanese haikus because of its short lines and stanzas. You can see that its related to the influx industry that was in Chicago on the 20thcentury, there was a part that said “Over harbor and city” to help the reader really picture it.
