Only a TI 30-XA calculator may be used at the exam.
If you bring any other
calculator, you will not be allowed to use it and may have to complete the exam without a
You are responsible to know how to use this calculator.
Proctors or instructors
will not explain at the exam how to do any operations on the TI-30XA.
You may not share
a calculator with another student.
(If a friend loans you his/her calculator once he/she is
finished with the exam that is fine.)
The instructors may not loan calculators to students.
If any student is caught using an unapproved calculator; the exam will be collected, the
student will be dismissed, and the score will not count.
The student will be asked to see the
course coordinator the next day.
(Not all TI-30 calculators are XA models.)
Exam 3 covers sections 2.3, 2.4, 2.6, 2.7, part of 2.8, 3.7, 4.1, 4.2, 4.3, 4.4, 5.1, lesson 30,
and appendix G.

Lesson 36 will
not be included on the exam, although this lesson will take place prior to the exam.
There are fifteen multiple-choice problems on the exam.
