(Based on Exercise 15.8 in the textbook.) Three high schools participated in a study to evaluate the effectiveness of a new computer-based mathematics curriculum. In each school, four 24-student sections of freshman algebra were available for the study. In each school, two sections were randomly selected and assigned to the computer-based curriculum, and the other two sections were given the standard curriculum. At the end of the term, a standardized math achievement test was given to the students in each section. (a) Is this study experiemtal, observational, or mixed experimental and ob- servational? Why?
