MA 15400 Exam 2 Memo, Summer 2011 1. Exam 2 is during the regular class time on Tuesday, July 12 th 2. The exam consists of 11 questions. 3. You will have the whole 60 minutes to complete the exam. If you arrive late to class, you will only have the remaining minutes of class time to complete the exam. 4. The day prior to the exam (Monday, July 11 th ) is a review class. The following problems will be good review problems to discuss on that day. (Other questions, such as ones from old exams or homework, may be asked as well.) The best way to prepare for the exam is to review all homework problems . Chapter 6 Review Problems, page 435: 57, 59, 62, 64, 66, 67, 69, 70 Chapter 7 Review Problems, page 496: 17, 18, 19, 23, 28, 29, 30, 32, 34, 36, 41, 42, 46, 48, 49, 51, 52, 53, 59, 61, 62, 64, 67, 70, 71, 72 5. The only calculator allowed is a one-line or two-line scientific calculator

Sections in the book are 6.7, 7.2, 7.3, 7.4, and 7.6. 7. Exams from previous semesters are available on the course web page. These problems may not represent every type of problem that may appear on your exam. They are good for review purposes, but are not a guarantee of what may or may not appear on your exam. Be aware that each semester’s exam 2 may cover different lessons, so some old exams 2 may have questions that will not appear on your exam and some old exams 1 or 3 may contain problems that will be on your exam. 8.
