Body Type There is no single ideal body weight, size, shape, or body type for everyone. Ectomorph- lean appearance, often Low body fat, small bone size, little muscle Mesomorph- muscular, well proportioned appearance Low-med body fat, med-lg bone, large muscle Endomorph- round face, short neck, and wide hips High body fat, large bone, small muscle mass

Body Weight There is no ideal body weight, but there are healthy body weight ranges. Lean body weight- combination of bone, muscle, and connective tissue Two people could look same size, different weight Essential Fat- minimum amount of body fat necessary for good health Insulates body, cushions organs, and body fuel Adipose Tissue-unnecessary fat Can’t change #, but can change size
