Technical description – Fatigue Tester MT3012-E Test piece diameter 8 mm Max. load 255 N Supply voltage 230V 50-60Hz Speed (approx) 3000 rpm Dimension 980 280 460 mm Weight 24 kg 1.1. Main components Motor connected on one side to an electronic device with a microcontroller and alphanumerical display. Conical fixture for the test piece is attached to the shaft at the other end. Loading device consists of a spherical ball bearing and a micro-switch which automatically switches off the motor when the fracture occurs. 1.2. The LCD-display will show the following N: indicates elapsed revolutions since the reset-button was pressed or the first start of the machine. F: indicates actual force applied to the test piece. LIM: indicates the force level where the test (motor) will stop. ORG: indicates and saves the value of the applied force when the test (motor) starts. 1.3. Adjustment of MT3012-E By turning the loading wheel clockwise the loading on the test piece can be increased. F and ORG will indicate the same value. The deviation of the bearing is 1.2 mm/turn. From the beginning (after switch ON or RESET) the LIM will be 50 N. LIM can be adjusted at any time by moving the LIMIT switch UP or DOWN, where the value of the LIMIT will increase or decrease (between 10 - 90 N) in steps of 10 N. Normal value for LIM setting is 20% of estimated FORCE.
