Accounting Research: Women in Accountancy The Women in Accountancy group has launched a new publication in its series of workbooks designed to assist women professionals to maximise their opportunities within the field of accountancy. A Career Development Guide for Women in the Accountancy Profession is an interactive workbook which addresses three key development questions: Where am I now? Where am I going? How am I going to get there? By working through her responses to a series of structured questions, the reader develops her own personal action plan for strategic career development. The Women in Accountancy group has drawn on the experiences of women accountants from diverse backgrounds in preparing this guide. Women explain what motivates them, how mentors have influenced their careers, what it's like to go freelance or to set up in business, and why networking is so vital to your career-development strategy.
