Homeostasis PreLab Prabhleen Kaur Aidan Estrada Isaac Stallings Problem Statement: How does physical activity in the form of jumping jacks affect the pulse?
Materials: person Stopwatch Lab notebook pencil Procedure: 1. Draw a data table in your lab notebook (see Data Table) 2. Use the timer to find your pulse/ beats per minute (you can take your pulse by placing two fingers on the wrist area with blood vessels, and counting the beats for a minute). 3. Record your resting pulse/heart rate in your Data Table 4. After finding your resting pulse, use the stopwatch to time 1 minute of jumping jacks. 5. Repeat Step 2. 6. Record your pulse after 1 minute of exercise in your Data Table. 7. Take a few minutes to let your pulse slow down. 8. Repeat Steps 1-7 two more times (take two more trials) Independent Variable:
