A fundamentally reported court decision case-based, discussion-oriented course, it is intended to provide students with a thoughtful insight into how the legal system monitors the domestic and international business environment, blending theoretical and practical concepts. The course methodology offers a problem-solving experience and provides students with an opportunity to develop their analytical and decision-making ability. BSL 212 has been designated an intensive writing course and, accordingly, students will spend considerable time and effort in demonstrating problem-solving ability in a written form. COURSE OBJECTIVES The primary objectives of BSL 212 are as follows: Develop students’ substantive knowledge of the US legal system. Develop students’ substantive knowledge of the legal rules regulating the fundamentals of all business dealings, e.g., the principles of contracts, including the domestic and international sale of goods. Develop students’ substantive knowledge of the international implications of business transactions. Introduce the theoretical and practical aspects of business ethics. Develop students’ analytical and problem solving skills. Develop students’ oral and written presentation skills.
