Inside the duct, the heat added per unit mass is q = 3 x 10 5 J/kg. Assume the flow is steady. (a) Calculate the flow properties M 2 , P 2 , T 2 , 2 , T 02 and P 02 at the exit of the duct. (b) How much heat per unit mass must be added to choke the flow? Problem 2 Consider the flow of air through a pipe of inside diameter = 0.15 m and length = 30 m. The inlet flow conditions are M 1 = 0.3, P 1 = 1 atm, and T 1 = 273K. Assuming 2 0 / (1/ 2 ) f c u  = const = 0.005, where 0 is the wall shear stress, calculate the flow conditions at the ext: M 2 , P 2 , T 2 and P 02 .
