R em ember that tw o se nt e nc e s run t oge t he r wi t hout any punc u t a t io n o r conjunction is a run-on. One option of fixing the problem is to add more glue to that comma. Conjunctions work very w e l l . I c a l l o n e p o p u l a r t y p e o f c o n j u n c t i o n t h e F A N B O Y S , a n i c k n a m e t h a t s t a n d s f or " F O R , AND, NOR, BUT, OR, YET, SO." These are all conjunctions that stick sentences together, and w e u s u a l l y p u t a c om m a r i g h t b e f o r e t h e c o n j u nc t i o n w h e n a n e w s e n t e n c e i s c o m i n g up .
