How To Do Well in English 316K Here are two students’ advice for doing well in this course: (A) This class was definitely one of my favorites and I hope it is the same for you. You can do well, but you really have to work hard! 1. Obviously, go to EVERY class! (the IDs that he puts on the tests are normally ones that he has gone over in class) 2. Take really good notes during class and bring your books so you can write in them as well 3. Do the assigned reading before class - this will help you more than you think! 4. Read each author's bio and take notes 5. Read the works keeping in mind he may ask you an ID over it (so take mental notes of the style the author uses and specific words) 6. Make friends in your sections so you can study for the tests together 7. Be prepared for sections and speak up; they don't grade very easily! 8. How to study for the tests: go through your notes and compile them onto a few pages putting the words and definitions he's
