Section 1 Exam, Question 6 Since all cells have a plasma membrane and every cell comes from a cell it isn’t possible for them not to have a plasma membrane. The plasma membrane surrounds the outside of the cell acting as a barrier to protect it. It lets in whatever’s needed and keeps out whatever’s not. You can think of it as a protective coating that safe guards the membrane.

There would be infectious diseases that would travel into the membrane and cause the cell to be destroyed, and further more death. The reason that no living things are without plasma membranes is it is just not possible they essential to all living things....
