They would rob banks, steel, and rob railroads. - Fiught with the pinkertons a lot. - Pinkertons were a private police force. - James started his career as a buswhacker when the civil war was over. - he was a racist who would kill any black person that he saw in the south. - He was extremely conservative. 4 th - why the west was wild - West was wild because they had a weak government and civilization. - Too many young man who had a lot of alcohol and weapons. - Men with guns and alcohol= violence and uproar. - No women around to calm them down. - Women to men ratio in the west was 3-1. - 5 th - 6 th - 7 th - native Americans - after the civil war, white policy towards the Indians is that they must be
