Catalog Description (3 credits): The first part of a two-course sequence which studies the essential concepts, principles, and techniques of modern database systems. Topics include modeling and querying of data using conceptual data models as well as the development of a database application. 2. Pre-requisites and Co-requisites Pre-requisites: CIS 3020 Advanced Programming Fundamentals for CIS Majors or CIS 3023 Programming Fundamentals for CIS Majors 2 and COT 3100 Applications of Discrete Structures. 3.
