The problems are as follows: Prob. 3.24 [3.28] Derive the expressions for a sub n and b sub n for the square wave. Why is a sub 0 equal to zero ? write the integral expressions and prove it is so. Write the integral for a sub n and state why it may be zero, then prove it for at least one term. ie., a 1 write and derive the expression for b1 b2 b3 until you see a pattern or do the integral for the general term a sub n and deduce the general expression. just writing down the answer will get you very little credit. ( from back of book or my handout ) Prob 3.27 M [3.31] Do not find the total response, just the steady state response. Use the Fourier expansion terms on page 186 [210] for the input force of Fig 3.11 [3.12] on page 185 [209]. Write the steady state solution expressions using the handout from Rao or your text.
